A little something about Nak...
Director and founder of Mute crew, a member of Burncity Krump Movement and one of the choreographers for the 2012 Australia’s Hip Hop champion crew Rewind.
Trained in various styles including Hip Hop, House, Krump, Locking and Popping, Nak’s creative style is one of positivism and originality. He has been performing since childhood and rhythmically trained in drums since the age of 9, music has always been a major influence in understanding his own path in becoming the dancer and talented choreographer he is today.
As a performer and choreographer having taught at Melbourne’s leading dance institutions as well as numerous primary and secondary schools. In addition to a loyal following on his YouTube channel, ‘NakAssa’, his credits include Co-choreographer for The Really Sophisticated Guys in 2014 “Once Upon a Time” at The Palms, Crown casino Melbourne presented by Masters of Choreography, the Chinese Lunar New Year festival, St. Kilda Festival and Moomba. He has also shared choreographic accolades for competition pieces that won both the 2012 and 2013 Melbourne preliminaries of Australia’s Hip Hop Championship along with winning the 2012 Australia’s Hip Hop Championship title.
Nak is well-known for his dedication to dance, as well as his blossoming creativity that inspires the entire dance industry in Melbourne!
